This Privacy Policy applies to the PrismGuard VPN app distributed through the Solana dApp Store. In this version you sign in only with your Solana wallet (Sign-In With Solana) and pay only on-chain in SOL or USDC. There is no email, Google or Telegram sign-in, no card payments and no other payment methods. "PrismGuard", "we" and "us" mean the team that runs the PrismGuard service.
By using the app you agree to this policy and to the dApp Store Terms of Service.
Our approach
PrismGuard is a VPN. We collect what we need to run your account, payments and the network, and nothing more. We do not sell personal data, we do not show ads, and we do not build profiles of the websites you visit.
- We do not log the content of your traffic, the websites and apps you open, or your DNS lookups as a browsing history.
- We do keep short-lived technical server logs that can include IP addresses and connection times (see section 2). We would rather say this plainly than promise "zero logs".
Data we collect
Wallet account
- Your Solana wallet's public address and a signed sign-in message. The address is your account.
- Plan and Premium end date linked to that address, your referral code and who invited whom (for referral bonuses).
Payments
- For payments in SOL or USDC on Solana mainnet: the paying wallet address, amount, token and the transaction signature, which we check on the blockchain to activate Premium.
VPN service
- Short-lived access credentials issued to your device, and the server and connection mode you use.
- The amount of downloaded traffic per account (bytes only), used to apply the monthly limit of the Free plan.
- Technical server logs needed to keep the network working and to stop abuse — for example connection time, server, error codes and IP addresses. They are kept for a short time and then rotated.
Shield is applied automatically to DNS lookups and is not stored as a browsing history tied to your account.
App and support
- App version, device platform and connection diagnostics, so we can fix problems.
- Messages you send to support by email or in Telegram — only if you choose to contact us.
Device identifier
The app sends an identifier derived from your device (a hash of the Android device ID) to tie subscriptions and free usage to a device and to prevent abuse.
What stays on your phone
- Location. Android requires location permission to read the Wi-Fi network name. PrismGuard uses it only on the device, for auto-connect on Wi-Fi and the trusted Wi-Fi list. Your location and Wi-Fi names are not sent to us.
- Settings and the connection log are stored locally in the app. The log is sent only if you attach it to a support message yourself.
The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Connections outside the VPN tunnel
Some requests must work before or without the tunnel: the app contacts our server catalog (catalog.prismguard.xyz) and account service (api.prismguard.xyz) directly to load the server list, sign you in and check your plan. When DNS is set to "Default", name lookups go to the DNS server of your Wi-Fi or mobile network outside the tunnel.
Speed test (optional)
The speed test runs only when you start it. It uses our own test server and Measurement Lab (M-Lab) servers. In the "VPN" mode the test goes through the tunnel. In the "Direct" and "Compare" modes it tests your connection without the VPN: M-Lab sees your real IP address and publishes test results, including the IP address, as open data under its own policy (measurementlab.net/privacy).
Your wallet and keys
- We never receive your private key or seed phrase and will never ask for them.
- The app asks your wallet to sign only two things: the sign-in message and the payments you approve. Your wallet shows each request before you confirm it.
- Transactions on Solana are public: anyone can see the addresses, amounts and time. They are final, and neither we nor anyone else can reverse them. How refunds for on-chain payments work: Refund Policy.
How we use data
- to sign you in with your wallet and keep your account secure;
- to provide VPN access and apply your plan and its limits;
- to verify on-chain payments and activate Premium and referral bonuses;
- to keep the service reliable and to prevent abuse;
- to answer support requests.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Sharing
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only as much as they need: hosting providers for our servers, and Solana RPC providers that we use to verify sign-ins and payments. Measurement Lab receives your IP address only when you run the speed test in the "Direct" or "Compare" mode.
In Fast DNS mode, encrypted tunnel data travels through the public DNS resolvers of your network; they see only encrypted data addressed to our domain.
Solana Mobile runs the dApp Store, which delivers the app and its updates under its own terms and privacy policy. It is not part of the PrismGuard service.
We disclose data to authorities only when valid law requires it, or to protect users and the service from abuse: Legal requests and abuse.
Retention
- Account data is kept while your account is in use.
- Payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting and for handling disputes and refunds.
- Technical logs are short-lived and rotated.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your account yourself: in the App, open Account and tap Delete account. This removes the link between your wallet address and your account, and your VPN access key; any remaining Premium time is lost. You can also ask us to show or delete the data linked to your wallet address: write to support@prismguard.xyz with your wallet address. We will ask you to prove that you control the wallet before we act, and we will tell you when the data has been deleted.
Data recorded on the public blockchain cannot be deleted by anyone. Some payment records may have to be kept for legal or accounting reasons. Local law may give you further rights.
Security
We use encrypted connections (TLS), short-lived credentials and wallet-signature sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep the data we hold to a minimum.
Children
PrismGuard is not meant for children under 16. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), use PrismGuard only with permission from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16; if you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
International use
Our servers are located in several countries. By using PrismGuard you understand that data may be processed outside your country, with the protections described in this policy.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. We will announce significant changes in the app or on this website.
